Meet the Speakers: 2024 Big Island Book Fest

​(Keauhou, HI)  The 2024 Big Island Book Fest is set to be an unforgettable gathering of literary talent, featuring four distinguished guest speakers and over a dozen local authors who bring a wealth of experience and insight to the event. Together, these speakers & authors will not only enrich the literary experience at the festival but will also inspire and challenge attendees to deepen their own understanding and appreciation of the written word.

Tom Peek is a renowned author based in Hawaii, celebrated for his profound storytelling that captures the rich cultural and spiritual essence of the islands. With a career that spans various creative and professional fields, including journalism, environmental activism, and teaching, Peek has developed a unique voice that resonates deeply with both local and global audiences.

Peek is best known for his nationally award-winning novels *Mauna Kea* and *Daughters of Fire*, compelling narratives set on the Big Island that have been praised for their authenticity and depth, offering readers an intimate look at the complexities of modern Hawaiian life, history, and spirituality.
