For the past few months, I've been busy getting DRAGON DREAMS ready for querying. Editing, critiquing, and re-writing. Getting the pitch pitch perfect, the query ready and taking my 1250 word synopsis down to 620 words that tell more in those few than the 1250 did.
I'm as ready as I can be for the Kauai Writers Conference coming up this Friday. This is big time; famous authors, editors, publishers and agents will be there. I've got two pitches lined up and had an experienced, well respected editor review the first fifteen pages. All in one of the most beautiful places on Earth; Kauai Hawaii. No secret that I'm getting nervous. Wouldn't you? One of the things I'm looking forward to is meeting people in person that I've only met online. Putting their faces to their names. Maybe I'll take a bunch of videos and share them. That's if I can get my hands to not shake...

This Saturday, Nov 4th, I will be at the Oceanview Community Center's yard sale. I'll have copies of my first two books; Eternal Diet and its sequel You Are What You Eat available.
There will be all sorts of interesting venders ranging from food, to crafts to yard sale stuff. The center is at 92-8924 Leilani Circle in Hawaiian Ocean View Estates (HOVE). 8-2. Hope to see you there! Now that I’ve figured out how to post, I’ll start actually telling you all about what’s happening.
The Kauai Writers Conference is fast approaching and my anxiety is kicking up. At what point does fine tuning become nitpicking? I'm still working on my pitch and have an expert's help with the pitch and synopsis. Meanwhile, it's a beautiful sunny day here on the Big Island. If today follows the current norm, that won't last long and my catchment tank will be happy. Can't say the same for my solar collectors. |
